Kamo-no-Okusu is designated as a special natural monument in Tokushima Prefecture.

In addition to the above, Oyoyo Waterfall (Todoroki Waterfall) and Iya Valley have been selected as one of the 100 Landscapes of Japan in Tokushima Prefecture.

Iya Village, where Iya Valley is located, has been selected as one of the Three Great Unexplored Regions.
It is a place where the original scenery of Japan from ancient times still remains.

One of the scenic spots in Iya Village is Kazura Bridge.

It is made from the vine of a plant called “Shirakuchi Kazura”.
Many tourists visit because of its unusual scenery.
“Kazura Bridge” has been selected as three famous strange bridges in Japan

 

Tokushima Prefecture has a traditional buildings preservation district that retains the streetscape of the Edo period.
“Wakimachi / Udatsu Townscape” is a town that prospered in commerce with indigo and cocoons, and conveys the lifestyle of the Edo period to this day.

Amagoi Waterfalls (Kamiyama Town), Ogama Falls (Naga Town), and Todoroki 99 Waterfalls (Kaiyo Town) have been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls.

Todoroki Falls is the largest waterfall in Shikoku, and is a collection of waterfalls of various sizes.

Two locations, Ohama Beach (Minami Town, Kaifu District) and Kitanowaki Beach (Anan City), have been selected as the 100 best beaches.

The Ohama coast is known as the spawning ground for loggerhead turtles.

The Kitanowaki Beach has a vast pine forest and is very popular as a beach.

Seibu Park (Tokushima City) has long been known as a famous place for cherry blossoms and azaleas.

Since around 1985, we have been developing a park that makes use of cherry blossoms.
The park is currently selected as one of Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots.

Tokushima Castle (Tokushima City) is one of the 100 famous castles in Japan.
Currently only the restored castle gate remains


Shozui Castle (Aizumi Town) is a castle ruin that prospered greatly from the Muromachi period to the Azuchi period.
It was selected as one of the 100 Continued Top 100 Japanese Castles along with Ichinomiya Castle (Tokushima City).

Iya Valley, which is an unexplored region that represents Tokushima Prefecture, also has one side as a hot spring resort.

You can use the cable car to get down to the open-air bath at the bottom of the valley.

Kamiyama Onsen has prospered since the Meiji and Taisho eras.

The famous temple is Ryosen-ji Temple, which is the first temple of the 88 pilgrimage sites in Shikoku.

Contains Buddha statues of Buddha born from Emperor Shomu and Kobo Daishi.
