Two special historic sites have been selected in Wakayama Prefecture.

Iwase Senzuka Tomb Group” is a group of ancient tombs distributed in a wide area.
There are about 400 burial mounds in the designated area, and it is known as one of the largest burial mounds in Japan.

It is estimated that they were built around the 6th century.
